    d/t/metadata: force gawk and fix warning message

    gawk >= 5.0.1 does not recognize the expression \" as regex operator,
    issueing a warning message during metadata tests, causing autopkgtests
    to fail.

I didnt mention bug # in changelog for this (not needed) so Im closing this as Fix Released and will return to this if ever needed.
