Bug Description
I'm using UBUNTU 7.1 distribution
It's impossible to boot with a live CD, due to an error during the initialization process of graphic card.
I use a GEForce4 440Go 64Mo from nvidia.
My PC is a Notebook from Médion: Model MD5226 (P4 at 2.4 Ghz and 1Gb memory)
I tried many options for booting even in text mode like:
boot: live vga=771
boot: live vga=771 noapic nolapic
boot : live pci=noacpi
I still have no sucess for booting.
The last two messages on the screen were:
--> Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to Kill init!
--> Switched to high resolution mode on CPU 0
Thanks in advance for your help
Best Regards

Sorry for the delayed response here. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Care to test the most recent Hardy Heron 8.04 release - http:// www.ubuntu. com/getubuntu/ download . Please let us know your results. Thanks in advance.
