claws-mail cannot connect to yahoo mail, gnutls problem?

Distribution: Linux Mint 18.3 Mate

Sometime in the last few weeks lost the ability to connect
to yahoo IMAP mail using Claws Mail.

The problem appears to be coming from gnutls:

Trying to connect with openssl seems to work.

This is a bug in GnuTLS.
