Bug Description

Hi,

Someone has requested that your license be added to the SPDX License List. See https://launchpad.net/epics-base

As per our processes, we like to make sure the license steward is aware and get input on naming and license identifier if need be.

Can someone please comment there? If you need more info on the SPDX License List, see https://spdx.org/licenses/ (or let me know any questions)

Thanks,
Jilayne

Hi Jilayne,

Sorry, where would you like us to comment? Your link points to our own Launchpad project pages, did you mean to point somewhere else?

I don't think we'll have a problem with your adding the EPICS Open License to the SPDX list. Note that the canonical URL for the license is https://epics.anl.gov/license/open.php with some discussion and history at https://epics.anl.gov/license/index.php

oh geez! how about this link!

Thanks for the canonical URL, I'll be sure to add that.

We usually put a version number on identifiers, if there is other versions of the license or any chance of that in the future. So that is one thing it would be good to get your insight on. Otherwise, I'll let you read the issue at the correct link and comment there.

Thanks again!
