Bug Description
system is slow in boot with frequent issue showing up again. Re-installed grub to latest version, made changes in /etc/default/grub to boot fast with "nomodeset quiet splash" but again it boot slow. when it's logged in at frequently interval the menu box, screen hang with black screen. updated all the files and wanted to upgrade to 18.04.4 which it does not allow after following all options online with the related issue. Previously had installed twice with 16.04.6 with following upgrade to 18.04.4 but system don't boot with issue coming up at various stage. It's a sophisticated bug & make system venerable at every stage to come up with issues to stop functioning properly. Kernel issue with unsigned image, software update & hardware issue pulling up at frequent interval. Present installed system does not have kernel issue but bug creating problem in its own way. Changes made does not apply & in next boot some other issue comes up.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Reviewing your dmesg attachment in this bug report it seems that there is a problem with your hardware. I recommend performing a back up and then investigating the situation. Measures you might take include checking cable connections and using software tools to investigate the health of your hardware. In the event that is is not in fact an error with your hardware please set the bug's status back to New. Thanks and good luck!
