Bug Description

Alpine email client crashes caused by impoper handling of command line parameters. It was already submitted to the project's developer and fixed:

Hello Michał, thanks for the bug report.

Canonical is a CNA that can assign CVEs, but we are limited in which programs and which conditions we can assign numbers. For this issue, please request a CVE from https://cveform.mitre.org/ .

Typically, command line parameters are assumed to be trusted inputs; there's a chance that this issue may not be seen as a security issue, but rather a standard bug.
