Mouse cursor lagging (or freezing) when moving over system tray when wayland session

Cursor lagging when using wayland session. It happens on edge of something new, for example:
- between clock menu and keyboard langugge
- between app window and left launch panel

Xorg session has no mouse lagging over this edges.

Reminds me of https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/issues/1411 but this is probably a different issue...

Does the problem only happen with dash-to-panel?
