I use the hotcues as internal "bookmarks". I preview old songs very quickly using the hotcues to find where to start.
When I'm done, I cue the track on that location but now using the big CUE button.

Would like to do this WITHOUT addiitonally having to pause the track

this is how traktor works, not even being an option there.

Which Cue Mode do you use?
Can this be implemented by adding this behaviour to Denon/Numark Cue Mode without a preferences option?

Which related preference option dos Traktor provide.

In my view this is orthogonal to any cue option.
Because its something that happens when you press hotcue.

Traktor has this behaviour built-in. It is not an option.
This makes Traktor users extremly used - and dependent on - on this feature.

Which cue mode do you use?

Where is the track cued by default when you use Traktor?
What else moves the cue point in Traktor?

I am asking because up to 2.2 we treat the main cue as the stored position where the track should be loaded. This requires explicit cue actions. This feature is the opposite.

We can just introduce a preferences option only for this, but for my feeling this does not match to our cue mode concept, where the cue mode is a set of cue option reasonable combined.

I'm not asking any change to where you load the track.
What I'm asking is an addiitonal action when I hotcue.

to answer your questions:
a) I'm using mixxx cue mode

b) traktor loads at the "zero point".
Except if this option is enabled, and the file has a load marker

"Initially cue to Load Marker" will allow you to use Traktor’s Load Markers. A Load Marker is a special cue point that when you load a track that has a Load marker in it, the track will Load right to that cue point.
