Bug Description
To reproduce:
1. Download gedit and gedit-latex-plugin from Ubuntu 20.04 repository.
2. Load an existing .tex file.
3. Activate the LaTeX plugin (Preferences -> Plugins -> LaTeX-Plugin).
4. Plugin shows but is inactive.
5. After restarting gedit, plugin does not even show.
What happens: plugin does not work/show; Expected: Show plugin toolbar when opening files, compile file when clicking or using shortcut.

- gedit - Version 3.36.1
- gedit-latex-plugin - Version 3.20.0
