Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
I usually set my CPU profile to Conservative or Powersave, using GNOME applet CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor v2.21.4 (which I've set-ui to root).
Every time I launch update-manager, it set the CPU profile to OnDemand.
This can cause my laptop to over-heat.

Thanks for your bugreport.
That sounds like a problem with the applet or with gnome-power- manager. update-manager does not change this profile. The only thing it does is that it sends a org.freedesktop .PowerManagemen t.Inhibit signal to gnome-power-manager when it installs updates.
