gnome-tweaks opens to one of its lower-level windows

gnome-tweaks opens to a window that offers sliders for animation and suspension. It worked one time after installation, but doesn't work any more. I have reinstalled gnome-tweaks and get the same behavior. I have reinstalled gnome-tweaks and get the same behavior.
