Bug Description

To be able installing anything I have to run Ubuntu-software with sudo from terminal.

sudo chown -Rh $USER:$USER ~/

not worked.

Also interesting: If I do not start with sudo. I'm able to login to Ubutu-one but not to snap.

The "software-center" package is currently only available or supported in Ubuntu 16.04. Other bug reports that you have raised suggest you are using a more recent release of Ubuntu.

Please advise to which release of Ubuntu this bug report refers to and whether this problem is seen when using the .deb or snap version of "Ubuntu Software".

I use 19.10. What software should I use instead?. In my opinion it was preinstalled. Is software-center and ubuntu-software a different app?

Yes, software-center is what was used when Unity was the default desktop environment. Moving to gnome-software (also known as ubuntu-software) which is the default for Ubuntu 19.10.

I checked this. Ubuntu-software is installed and in use. So I added this ticket to the wrong package. The problem seems caused by the fact, that launchpad tells me that ubuntu-software do not exist.

Thank you for your bug report but the software isn't made to be used under sudo, just start it with your regular user account
