Bug Description
Launchpad looks like a webpage of 1990. While some aspect of it (translator, some features of bug tracker, integrated build system) makes it exceptional from others, it's web interface is complicated and hard to use. Even reading text requires effort due to font rendering and size, all the comments looks like code samples and reading it for some time tires eyes. Improving the UI will greatly improve the user experience and might also attract new projects to Launchpad.

I imagine migrating from YUI and AJAX to HTML5 and the Vanilla Framework is a cost-prohibitive endeavor, since other Canonical-developed web apps have always kept up with modern web technologies. Consider this a wishlist item.
