Bug Description

I really don't know whether to file this bug report with wine or with gnome-shell, but it used to work, so I suspect it is a gnome-shell thing.

How to duplicate it:
-Install a wine program, and put its icon in the gnome dock.
-Click on the wine program icon in the dock.
-An identical icon appears at the bottom of your list of running programs, with an orange dot, but the original one has no orange dot to indicate it is running.

What should happen:
-No duplicate icon should be displayed at the bottom of your dock, and the orange dot should appear beside the original icon.

See my screenshot included. The icon to look at is the LTSpice one, 11 from the top, and then find it also near the bottom of the dock with an orange dot.

Thanks for your good work!

Rob

This is a classic bug, the point is that the developer did not add the parameter StartupWMClass in .desktop file. Basically there are 3 ways to solve the problem. 1) Download snap app version 2) Create your custom shortcut (where do you add StartupWMClass) 3)Tell the developer to add StartupWMClass.
