Bug Description

Hi,
since the upgrade to Focal I wonder why the "activities" overview isn't readable anymore.
It is the one you get to when you click "activities" in the top let or hit the "meta" key.

In my case this preview is only half an icon high, so I have to assume what things are based on half an icon that is also partially faded out it seems.

[13:14] <seb128> cpaelzer, what screen resolution/scaling factor/video card do you use?

That would be:
eDP-1 connected primary 1920x1080+0+840 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 344mm x 193mm
DP-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
HDMI-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DP-2 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
HDMI-2 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DP-2-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
DP-2-2 connected 1920x1080+0+1920 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 598mm x 336mm
DP-2-3 connected 1920x1080+1920+1920 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 598mm x 336mm
DVI-I-2-2 connected 1080x1920+1920+0 left (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 598mm x 336mm
DVI-I-1-1 connected 1920x1080+3000+840 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 598mm x 336mm

Card: i915
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation UHD Graphics 620 (rev 07)

Scaling is 100% on each screen.

I'll attach a screenshot of the layout and check the mentoned bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1869571
