FYI. I did try reinstalling ubuntu-restricted-extras, firefox-3, and anything else I could think of to no avail.

I should ammend the last comment. The picture is "squished" under firefox 2.0.

Thanks for your report. Firefox 3 is packaged separately in Hardy at the moment; please file bugs regarding it in the firefox-3.0 source package.

the totem you used couldn't be used with firefox-3.0. latest totem fixes this.

I got the same issue here. Maybe totem does handle the quicktime mov files correctly, but this is not the case for the Quicktime plugin 7.2.0, and by default it is this plugin which handles the embedded movies.

Cannot play any movies on Apple website. The quick-time plugin in Firefox 3.0.3 in hardy x64 either refuses to open or if it does, the whole screen is frozen black. Please advise.
