Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better.

I was unable to reproduce this issue on my Focal system, `sudo apt install gmic gimp-gmic` worked without any issues. In case some of the packages or updates are out of sync, could you please run `sudo apt update` and see if the issue persists?

If you still get error messages, could you please attach the output of `apt policy gimp-gmic libgegl-0.4-0`. This will tell us which versions are available and which it will attempt to install.

Ok, 2.4.5-1.1 is the latest version for gimp-gmic at least.

Could you check the version of libgegl-0.4-0 as well, `apt policy gimp-gmic libgegl-0.4-0`?

Alternatively, try to install libgegl-0.4-0 to drill down if there are any packages conflicting and who those might be?

Hm.. then I'm not sure. Setting this back to New for someone else to take a look at it.

I don't think installing gimp as a snap should affect this, you also seem to have a PPA in the mix, not sure how that might be affecting things.
