Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Ubuntu Hardy alpha 3, with ubiquity updated

1. Go to the "Who are you?" stage of the installer.
2. In the two password fields, enter different passwords.
3. Tab to the computer name field, and type a name for the computer.
4. Press Enter.
5. Go back to the password fields and enter the same password in each field.

What happens:
4. An error message appears next to the password fields when you press Enter.
5. The error message stays visible even once you've finished correcting the passwords!

What should happen:
3. The error message should appear as soon as you tab out of the second password field.
5. The error message should disappear as soon as you start changing the contents of either of the fields.

Triaged to Confirmed. Perhaps a wait state is needed in ubiquity to allow the password backend to complete before moving to the next entry.

This is fixed in Lucid. Ubiquity clears the error message when you start modifying the field.
