Bug Description

When I delete file(s) in Caja via Shift+Del, they are deleted, but at the same time, I get an error `Error while deleting. There was an error getting information about "<filename>" [...] No such file or directory`.

This manifests all the times, but it doesn't when I perform the same operation on a file on Desktop, without Caja (I don't know if Caja handles the desktop).

Hi Saverio,

A few days ago, I reported a very similar issue here:

https://github.com/mate-desktop/caja/issues/1383

As suggested there, when I turn off confirmation dialog in caja, the issue reported by you arises.

It seems to be the same! Could you please turn confirmation dialogs on to check if you experience the same bug as described by me?

Do you need some additional info?

Thanks!

Do you refer to the "behavior" -> "Ask before emptying the Trash or deleting files"?

If I turn that on, I'm showed a confirmation dialog, however, something interesting happens - it looks one, but if I move it, I find that there are two.

This behavior explains the problem I'm experiencing - on Shift+Delete, two operations are initiated at the same time.

Note that I don't experience this on 20.04 (Caja 1.24.0-1 (Ubuntu Buonic ships 1.20.2-4ubuntu1).

Sorry, yes, I was referring to the behaviour.

Exactly the same behaviour here!
