The error in your dpkg log is:

grub-install : attention : Cannot set EFI variable Boot0000.

dpkg: error processing package grub-efi-amd64-signed (--configure):

Unfortunately this indicates there was a problem with grub trying to talk to your UEFI firmware in order to register Ubuntu as a boot option.

Please attach the output of the command 'sudo efibootmgr -v'.

hello Steve,

basically i have a lenovo B575 laptop which had wind7 OS on it. and later I decided to upgrade to ubuntu for my studying purposes. so I did that and tried installing ubuntu 19.10 through USB drive ubuntu image on it. during installation i choose to let ubuntu decide about my partitions by deleting everything in my laptop and install a fresh new os UBUNTU 19.10. but unfortunately installation failed during installing the GRUB package and system asked me to restart. then i restarted it. which led me to GRUB black screen. after that i tried googling a lot and used boot-repair several time. and finally i restarted my PC and i see ubuntu OS came up and i logged into it by entering my password. but in start-up I received those error that mentioned in this bug-ticket:

[ package grub-efi-amd64-signed 1.128.2+2.04-1ubuntu12.2 failed to install/upgrade: installed grub-efi-amd64-signed package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1 ]

please help me out what to do; as i'm very new to ubuntu.

thank you!
