PCI/internal sound card not detected. Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen 7 Comet Lake

It looks like 20.04 is now using sound open firmware (sof), however, sof does not have a driver(?) for Intel Comet Lake processors (which my Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen 7 laptop has). Here is the relevant output of dmesg:

Solution given in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1867474/comments/3 does not resolve issue on my install. I've attached the dmesg

Did you install the linux-firmware from the -proposed? It is also possible the latest linux-firmware is not in the -proposed yet, please wait for a couple of more days.
