[hardy]italian language pack not recognised even if it is installed

Bug Description
Binary package hint: language-pack-it
on hardy i noticed that system doesn't initially recognise the italian language pack installed when i log in, saying me that it cannot be found. menus and most of the applications are in italian, but some others (like evolution, some parts of update-manager. ktorrent, ktorrent-kde4 and amarok9 are still in english even with italian locale installed. can that be fixed?

in update-manager the part where it describes the last time of packages' information's update is still in english
