Tested on Fedora 31 (linux 5.3.7) from a Live session, works ok.
What has been specifically tested:
echo freeze | sudo tee /sys/power/state
-> goes to soft suspend mode; power led turns off; on pressing the power button, resumes without error
echo mem | sudo tee /sys/power/state
-> goes to suspend mode; power led turns off; on pressing the power button, resumes without error
echo disk | sudo tee /sys/power/state
-> fails to hibernate (power led remains on, had to hard shutdown the laptop)
