Bug Description

I would find it useful if TopShelf were able to handle URLs in addition to files. This would be a step towards making it a "recent stuff manager" rather than a "recent files manager".

Hmm, what would this offer that the bookmarks system in web browsers doesn't already do?

Nothing. The advantage would be having all recent stuff in one place, rather than having one temporary "recent URLs" bookmark folder and one "recent files" applet on the panel.

What worries me is that the web browser will be better at this. For example, it can have preview images when you hover your mouse over the URL and things like that. TopShelf would be duplicating functionality in an inferior way.

However, I do see that you have a point here, so I'll think about it some more.
