Bug Description

Hi.

I'm using Kubuntu 20.04

I've found out that global hotkey combination CTRL+T does not work in some applications where it should.

Dolphin - should open new tab but it does not
Firefox - should open new tab but it does not.

First I've thought that many there is something in firefox package. But even from binaries downloaded from firefox website Ctrl+T was not work.

This is not KDE behavior at least for 18.04 or Debian buster where CTRL+T does work.

I just tested this in a 20.04 install, and the daily live image.

CTRL+T opens a new tab in Firefox and Dolphin (in X session) just fine.

Sounds like you have something additional interfering with the key assignment.

I've found an issue here.
Is is related to qstardict package.
Qstardict when launched globally consume CTRL+T hotkeys even if such behavior is not enabled.
If you have "CTRL+T" text in pop-up window configuration dialog it will always consume it.

In Wayland qstardict is not able to work with selected text and hotkeys that is why this issue appeared only with Xorg
