Bug Description

Following a kernel update on Kubuntu 18.04 from 5.0 to the latest hwe version 5.3.0, the system started "freezing" after a few days of operation (with the system being in suspend mode during most of each day). With kernel 5.0 there was no such problem, even after many months of operation (again with suspend/resume instead of shutting down). This has happened each time I use the 5.3 kernel (4-5 times so far).

The actual behaviour is that the video froze, apart from the mouse cursor that was moving normally but (seemingly) not activating anything. To reboot gracefully, I tested Ctrl-Alt+F[1-3] to try to enable a console (did not show a console), followed by Ctrl-Alt-Del, but it did not work. There seemed to be some disk activity indicated by the LEDs. To reboot the system, I used the SysRq sequence and the filesystem was synced and the system was rebooted.

Additionally, there are some video glitches from time to time, but I cannot find a usage pattern that produces them.

Attached is a dump from syslog showing something that seems like memory leaks from the GPU.

That was an amazing article! Thank you for sharing all that information with us! By the way does anyone know literotica has alternate websites too?! They are even better! I also found this really awesome websites that has listed them all under one page! basically literotica is a website where you as a reader can browse through more than 50000 stories to read! All top notch quality content! literotica has had a reputation for over adecade to be the best website to read stories when yourein the mood! But its time to give a chance to the newer websited that can be considered alternatives to literotica! well its because they post better content and are relatively frequent posters! Here is a link to a list of all these alternative websites for you! literotica
