Bug Description
Upon installing Ubuntu MATE in a GNOME Boxes virtual machine, running the Ubuntu MATE Welcome application will crash the desktop and send the user back to the Lightdm login screen. What makes this a very critical issue is that the welcome app runs at the system startup and it is packaged in a Snap. A normal user would not be able to remove the application without switching to a TTY nor would they be able to prevent this issue due to it updating automatically.
