Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

After being in "small display" mode, when I take off "small display" to return it to the normal browser view, the window size is never the same as when I left it. Usually, it is about half the vertical length of the original window before being put in "small display" mode. This is a problem I have experienced on multiple installations and on different computers.

On what version(s) of Ubuntu do you notice this? I can't reproduce it.

I think this might actually be a bug in compiz. I just checked this behavior with visual effects disabled, and it doesn't seem to happen. Should I post this to compiz instead?

I changed it to Compiz now, I'll see if I can reproduce it with effects on.

I was able to recreate this on Hardy Heron using version 1:0.7.0-0ubuntu1 and rhythmbox version 1:0.7.0-0ubuntu1. Rhythmbox will either return to its default size or maximized but nothing in between. I had the "Extra" set of effects enabled when I was testing this.

This is a very old report. Is this reproducable on later iterations of Ubuntu?

actually, sorry, Hardy isn't supported any more. Report a new bug if it happens.

@Chauncellor - just because a bug was reported about an unsupported release of Ubuntu this does not make the bug Invalid. Rather the bug should be tested in a supported release of Ubuntu to see if it still exists.

I've tested this using Precise, the development release of Ubuntu, while running compiz and no longer experienced this bug.
