Bug Description

Hello!
Yesterday, 01/19/2020, I updated my Lubuntu 18.04 lts. After restarting, the display resolution is only 640x480. I want to set a different resolution, but there are no other options.
I restored Lubuntu from backup to Clonesilla. New OS work correctly, but after updating the problem appears again.

Thanks for the bug reports. Sorry you're having trouble getting the right attachments, I can't see why...

My first guess here is that maybe you're using Nvidia and the nvidia-390 driver? If so then please try booting an older kernel like 5.0 and see bug 1851162.

affects: xorg (Ubuntu) → xorg-server (Ubuntu)
Changed in xorg-server (Ubuntu):
status: New → Incomplete

Please run these commands:

  dpkg -l > packages.txt
  dmesg > dmesg.txt
  lspci -k > lspcik.txt
  journalctl -b0 > journal.txt

and then attach the 4 resulting text files.

Yes, i am use nvidia-driver-390.
1. I am change this on "Nouveau dislpay driver". No result.
2. Then i am return on nvidia-driver-390 and load 5.0.0-27-generic kernel. No result.
3. I am return on 5.3.0-26-generic with nvidia-driver-390 and run commands. See attachment files.
