earlyoom reports wrong killed process name

Bug Description

Using Ubuntu 18.04, earlyoom version 1.0-1.

When looking at /var/log/syslog, earlyoom reports like

    Killing process 9123 dhclient

while the PID 9123 denotes the process actually killed, but this process was never named 'dhclient'.

Doing some tests, on my system it seems to always name 'dhclient' despite other processes are killed by reasonable choice. So earlyoom seem to lookup the wrong process name.

To clarify, I have not confirmed the exact claim here - that "earlyoom reports _wrong_ killed process name" (my emphasis) - so maybe I should not have said it affects me.

But, I have confirmed that earlyoom is killing a process and either not reporting it, or reporting it incorrectly, as this bug describes.

I should do more research.. but wanted to raise awareness of the issue in the mean time.

Hmm. This upstream issue looks relevant:

"Correct PID but incorrect victim name"
