Changing keyboard shortcuts to take screenshots didn't work on first attempt

Bug Description
I have a ThinkPad X1C with a Spanish keyboard layout. I've changed the keyboard screenshots to take a screenshot to simpler key combinations, but none triggered. The default shortcuts did work.
Here's what I've changed them to:
* Copy a screenshot of a window to clipboard: Alt+Print
* ...area...: Shift+Print
These shortcuts did not trigger at all.
After resetting the shortcuts to their defaults then back to the settings above, they are triggering now.
