Bug Description
Binary package hint: pidgin
On Hardy beta 3, x86.
After entering my details in the add MSN account dialogue on Pidgin, including my password with the save password checkbox enabled.
After clicking to apply, the summary of accounts showed the MSN icon but the details that should be to the left of it were missing.
Though I had already entered my password I was asked for it again.
I then received an error that I was unable to connect.
I then chose to modify the account details, the screen name field had changed to "@hotmail.com", there is no @hotmail.com in my address
I changed the details, chose to reconnect and now everything is working well.

I can't reproduce this on Pidgin 2.4.1 with Hardy.
I added a new MSN account with a random user from a domain other than hotmail.com and a false password, and obviously I got a login error. Then I clicked on "Modify account" and the domain different from hotmail.com I had entered was still there.
