short random noise after starting Mixxx (master)

Bug Description

I experience a random noise of a few milliseconds after starting the latest master.
r7027 r6854 is not effected.
It sounds like an uninitialized buffer.

This is Critical, because it may destroy the audio gear or users ears.

The commit itself is perfectly ok, but the implicit assumptions in the dependent code were plain wrong. Thanks for hunting this down!
