Bug Description
I am using Ubuntu 19.10
When running hplip-3.19.11 I get the message:
sudo apt-get install --asume-yes python-zbar (Scanjet-depend step 9)
warning: Failed to install this Scanjet dependency package. Some Scanjet features will not work.
The package python-zbar is available in Ubuntu 19.04 but not in 19.10
I don't know why.
I suspect this is why the scanner isn't working.
I'm using an HP Deskjet 3630
I hope this is sufficient information. I haven't reported a bug before.
Many thanks to all of you who are engaging in this project.
Martin Frost.

My printer/scanner is HP MFP M281fdn
Attempting to install python-zbar, it is not avalable:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package python-zbar is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package 'python-zbar' has no installation candidate rowland- HP-Magic: ~$
