Bug Description
Binary package hint: yelp
When Yelp is started, in the second or so between showing the empty Yelp window and drawing the main page in it, the centre of the window shows a garbled copy of whatever was on the screen before it was started. This happens whether visual effects are turned on or off.
Intel "Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller"
yelp 2.21.2-0ubuntu1 (hardy)

Confirmed; I'm also seeing this on a Dell Inspiron 1420 running latest Hardy with Compiz turned on.
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:2a02] (rev 0c) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
Also, it's not just yelp (although that reproduces the issue most reliably), but can occur on alt-tabbing between gnome terminal windows, opening new terminals, on tooltips, etc. although these cases seem more intermittent and harder to reproduce.
