Runnin ubutnu 19.04 cannot install Me TV !

Have tried latest 3 versions - downloads ok - extracts ok but no file initiates installation !
Advice please on best freeview TV app for 19.04

Yes, Me-TV was the best TV viewing recording app - you know development has ceased, as noted on the overview page.

Since Debian Jessie 8 (sorry don't know where that compares to Ubuntu) the supporting libraries have been upgraded beyond what Me-TV recognizes. Many names have changes with upgrades.

Russel Winder has forked a complete re-write on github - https://github.com/Me-TV/Me-TV It is completely different, yet functional. If that helps. Has some recording capabilities.

Yes, I really miss Me-TV. It's relatively simple yet does exactly what you need it to do!

Worked really well on Ubuntu 14!
