Bug Description

Evergreen 3.3.4

If the patron has a preferred first name the Evergreen self check should use it in place of the primary name in the upper right corner of the self check when the patron is logged in, similar to how the preferred name is used in the OPAC. Currently Evergreen is displaying the primary first name only in the self check.

We noticed this at NOBLE as well. I added an if/else to selfcheck.js file which will display the user's preferred name if one exists. I will post a branch next week.

Thank you Suzanne for sending me your diff. I shortened it up by using a ternary operator. I've tested this locally on a test system and will apply to production shortly.
