Bug Description

No Sound on laptop speaker after upgrading ubuntu 19.04 a few days ago. Soundcard is found in alsamixer but only "dummy" is available in gnome settings.

It appears the kernel can't find any speaker outputs:

@gunnarl, did your audio work correctly in kernel 5.0.0-29, and broke when you updated to 5.0.0-31?
If you boot 5.0.0-29 by selecting it in grub when you turn your computer on, does your audio work?

Might this be related to Bug 1846991?

Ubuntu 19.04 (disco) reached end-of-life on January 23, 2020.
