Bug Description

Binary package hint: kino

Kino should enable read/write access to /dev/raw1394 upon install. A normal user wouldn't know how to do this.

The problem is with the permissions and device nodes in Ubuntu by default. Please see the other bug or https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Firewire for ways around this issue.
