Bug Description

Using

 *** 2:0.29.1+git11~bionic 500
        500 http://ppa.launchpad.net/mc3man/mpv-tests/ubuntu bionic/main amd64 Packages

and trying to use dvdread:// per manual page (because I had issues viewing DVD and wanted to test how different library works) I get

bor@bor-Latitude-E5450:~$ mpv dvdread://./
No protocol handler found to open URL dvdread://./
The protocol is either unsupported, or was disabled at compile-time.

Exiting... (Errors when loading file)
bor@bor-Latitude-E5450:~$ mpv dvdread://./

for any file or directory. Is dvdread disabled in build?

You'll need to contact the person responsible for that package. This bug tracker is for the packages which are part of the main Ubuntu repositories (which I believe do enable dvdread).

Incidentally, if it does turn out that dvdread works and dvdnav (the usual dvd reading library) does not, it'll be good if you report a bug about that to dvdnav.
