Is this the only new ID in the kernel for GLK-R? Is there also new pciid for GPU etc?

No New code was needed to add the CPUID
Part of ./arch/x86/include/asm/intel-family.h

You should have received GLK-R CPU from Intel. Please test and let us know if you see any issues.

Is it for J32363-201 board that we've received 2y ago? I don't think we have tools to update the firmware on it to support GLK-R

so, if there's no new code to put in the kernel, should this be closed then?

From upstream information, the model number of GLK-R0 (0x706a8) is 0x7A.

#define INTEL_FAM6_ATOM_GOLDMONT_PLUS 0x7A /* Gemini Lake */

./arch/x86/include/asm/intel-family.h (upstream)

This is the original informaiton.

    x86/cpu: Sanitize FAM6_ATOM naming

    Going primarily by:

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Atom_microprocessors

    with additional information gleaned from other related pages; notably:

     - Bonnell shrink was called Saltwell
     - Moorefield is the Merriefield refresh which makes it Airmont

    The general naming scheme is: FAM6_ATOM_UARCH_SOCTYPE

seems we don't need new code. you can close it. If more information, we can reopen.
