Bug Description

Footprint editor seems to have the snap mark active even when I'm not snapping, just moving a pad. When I try to snap it snaps to anhchor (fp origin) but nowhere else.

I cannot reproduce this on linux with or without the snapping enabled in the footprint editor. Would you please test this on the latest 5.1 testing build to see if this resolves your issue.

The snap mark is visible even without a snap point while moving a pad if "Magnetic pads" is on in Footprint Editor preferences. It doesn't happen when the option is off. Also, it doesn't happen on every grid point but only inside some area, as can be seen in the video, but I don't know what are the limits of that area.

Ok, I see the always snapping to the origin when snapping is enabled (but it does end up snapping to a different pad if you are right on top of it).

As for the snap mark showing, it seems this is visible if it could possibly be snapped to something, so I think that seems like the correct behavior (it is telling you it could be snapped to a pad).

The only bug here seems to be the snapping to the origin.

I also see this behavior on master.
