Bug Description

To be clearer, placing the dock on the right side then placing the mouse over the 9-dot matrix icon causes severe graphic anomalies followed by the login screen.

This may be related to a bug I noticed associated to Nvidia drivers as my system has an Nvidia RTX2080. Finding this was very strange.

Temp fix was to put the dock back on the left side. [???]

I also noticed problem with the login screen. Attempting to move the mouse smoothly across the screen showed freezes periodically where the mouse would not move. If the mouse passed over the login name listed, the system would invariably freeze for a few seconds.

Sounds like an nvidia driver issue.

Nvidia drivers are proprietary and cannot be fixed other than be nvidia themselves.

Suggest look at whether the default open source nouveau drivers work better or if a later version of the nvidia driver you are using works better
