1) Open FIN1019 in LibEdit
2) Select the inner items by dragging a mouse selection box around the symbol, just inside the larger rectangle.
3) Note that all items except the "R" text boxes have been selected
The selection is odd in that it will work if you draw it sufficiently large but not if drawn around the visible area of the text. Greedy selection of the text is similarly incorrect; you can get the text to be selected but it's not clear where the dividing line between selection box and not falls.

This appears to affect all selection methods for symbol editor text objects not just the reference text. It is inconsistent with the selection highlighting of other objects in the symbol library editor. When selecting text with the LMB, I see the message panel updated correctly so the text is being selected. There is just no highlighting.
