Bug Description

I'm not a Gnome user. I don't care about the Gnome-workflow.

GTK file chooser is nearly unusable since GTK2. Many common functions of today's file dialogue are missing. The GTK file chooser is really a pain! It's really a shame Hugin is using this underdeveloped chooser by default!

In Firefox, xdg-desktop-portal it working fine since a while now. It works around GTK file chooser. A very welcoming solution? Really well done Mozilla!

Read https://askubuntu.com/questions/1100261/how-do-i-make-firefox-64-use-the-kde-file-selection-dialog

When will Hugin get xdg-desktop-portal -support by default? Like Firefox. It would fix this issue.

Hugin is not using GTK directly. Instead Hugin is using wxWidgets as a platform-independent GUI layer. So we can't influence the standard dialogs.
