xsane doesn't display my printer, just 'new printer'

Bug Description

Hi,

When I start xsane my HP ScanJet 4100C gets recognized properly, and works like
a charm.

But when I go into 'Copy' mode (called 'Kopieren' in the dutch screenshot), my
printer isn't displayed
properly, I only see 'new printer'.

Though when I start to copy, it does send the scanned image to my printer (HP
DeskJet 3820).

Thanks for the report. Is this still a problem for you in Ubuntu Breezy?

This is a fairly old bug: I am closing, in the hopes that this is fixed in Dapper or later (Edgy). Please don't hesitate to reopen if it's still an issue for you [would appreciate if you could test with a Dapper Live CD -without installing I guess :) ). Thanks.
