Selected photo thumbnail with no label should not highlight text area

Bug Description
Steps to reproduce:
- Go to photo thumbnail view
- select a photo
- Turn off labels on thumbnails (may need to go to Settings and add "Show/Hide" labels button
- Touch a photo to select
<The label area is a blue rectangle>
Expected result: The label area is black -- doesn't show any selection. The picture is still selected with a blue border
