"write here your new note" not selected

Binary package hint: tomboy

I'm using Tomboy 0.9.4 and when I create a new note the text "write here your new note" is not selected as it used to.

That was really useful to start writing right away, so I guess this is a bug and not a feature.

thanks for your report, are you referring to the "Describe your new note here." text when you click on "New Note"? that works fine here with same version of Tomboy. Can you test if you get the same with another new user created on your system? thanks.

I tried renaming my .tomboy folder and it works. Moving my old notes to the newly created .tomboy folder makes the bug reappear, though.

Any idea how to work around it without losing all the notes?

I would also like to thank you for your report. I have tried the same operation with Tomboy v0.9.4 and the "Describe your new note here." was highlighted. Unfortunately, I can't replicate your error so it is hard to help you. What version of Ubuntu are you using?

Alright, please disregard this bug report. I managed to isolate the one note that was causing this behaviour, and it turned to be the new note template.

Turns out I had created a template like your usual new note, but with the contents unselected.

I feel really dumb now!
