music app scans music forever

Bug Description

I am running Elementary OS Juno and trying to add my music to the library, and it seems to not finish. I have a very large library of around 300gb. I keep my library on a separate partition on the computer, which in the beginning was on an NTFS partition that I also use with Windows. When I would try to add the library folder, it would scan for some time, then eventually freeze and crash. I suspected NTFS may have been the issue, so I copied the whole library over to a Linux formatted partiion on an external USB 3 drive and let it scan all night. When I woke up it still had not completed and again was frozen and crashed. The same library works fine in Melody.
