- the packaging looks ready for inclusion
- the daemon does run as root, and changes uid for the different plugins
  (according debian/plugins.conf). The default user to run the plugins is
  nobody, so the plugins which are run as root, are limited to those
  mentioned in debian/plugins.conf.

Would be nice if somebody could recheck this; otherwise the package
is ready for promotion to main.

Ugh, a daemon should never run as nobody. It should create a proper system user for itself and run as that.

afaiu the daemon runs as root and suid's for each plugin to a specific user.

IIUC, the daemon behaves correctly and should not prevent the package from being promoted, right?
-> setting status to New so that Ubuntu-Mir-team can have another look at it.
